Download or stream.

Been a while since I've laid down a bonus track. Seemed pretty apropos to recent current events. Also way more 2016 tracks than I expected. Eh; that's how it works sometimes. Same as how having three tracks over 7 minutes balloons the TRT.

3. Cymbals Eat Guitars - Wish (Pretty Years)
4. Car Seat Headrest - Vincent (Teens of Denial)

Mux145: One For The Teenagers

Consider it one of those Back To Rock muxes. Sans the title change.

Subsequent listens of my initially-eh impression of Cloud Nothings' Here And Nowhere Else are reversing. Who knew an album like that could actually be called a grower? But since my new mux rules state that no band can be on two consecutive muxes, I'll likely go through their whole album one track per month and eventually toss it up to the Hall of Fame (where they'd join Japandroids' Post-Nothing and CN's own Attack On Memory). Helps that two advance tracks have already been muxed.

And the Green Day-to-Rage transition? Get outta here.

Boom.

1. Ty Segall Band - Death (Slaughterhouse) (For that guy who got me kicked out of the Ty Segall 7th St. Entry show)
2. The Kinks - You Really Got Me (Kinks)

6. Black Lips - Funny (Underneath The Rainbow) (For that cute girl I talked to for three minutes at the BL show)
7. Cloud Nothings - Giving Into Seeing (Here And Nowhere Else)
8. The Sword - Freya (Guitar Hero II / Age of Winters) (For BTS, JLV and all those others who suffered through the hand-cramping GH II chart)
9. Green Day - Brain Stew (Insomniac) (For JMG, because, eh, why not?)
10. Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade (Evil Empire)
11. The Stooges - 1970 (Fun House)
